"Empower your MRI research, even at 9.4T"

The EmpowerMR Contrast Injection System is a state-of-the-art integrated contrast injection system designed to meet the demands of today's advanced Magnetic Resonance (MR) procedures. EmpowerMR was the first injector to employ hydraulics rather than an electric motor to power RAMs. This innovative hydraulic power system virtually eliminates RF transients as well as concerns about artifacts due to RF frequency distortions. EmpowerMR also has a range of features to provide peace of mind. Until now it MR conditional for use with 1.5T, 3T, and up to 7T scanners.

In collaboration between Bracco, Acist Medical Systems and Scannexus, the Empower MR contrast injector was tested in the fringe field of the 9.4 Tesla MRI system. Such testing requires determining whether there is any interference from one system on the other, i.e. both whether the MR system influences the device as well as whether the device affects the MR system. The results of this study indicated a perfect mutual compatibility of the Empower MR with the 9.4T scanner.
It shows that the Empower MR is compatible with use in even the highest MR field strengths currently in use.
